I'm just feeling really lucky and truly blessed today. Earlier this week my team surprised me by taking me to lunch and having a cake and making some Cocomo Joe T-Shirts for my birthday.I believe starting this business was a way to get me to learn to be involved with and depend on others. I have always done things on my own and worked mostly by myself, and even though I love people, it always seemed easier to do things myself. In this business I was only ever going to get so far on my own. Right away I had to work with suppliers, a package designer, a nutrition facts consultant, a printer, a packaging co-packer, an architect, contractors, the city, the health department, and the very patient group of guys and girls at the agency who are helping me with the launch, and the digital media, as well as this awesome website.
And now I have employees. As I see myself accepting the fact these guys aren't going anywhere, I'm more acceptant of them and I'm allowing myself to see them as my team, my family. I feel really lucky that all of these people have been placed in my circle and that they haven't given up on me.
Nothing breaks down your hard outer shell more than when a group of people who care about you more than you know conspire behind your back to do something for you.
