I didn’t start out wanting to make healthy foods, but I have always liked them, and wondered why there weren’t more available that tasted good. After learning that many companies disguise their foods to make them appear healthy, it fueled the fire that now drives Cocomo Joe to be the absolute best in the organic foods industry.
I was selling real estate in Venice California for several years and reached a point where I was burnt out and had started searching for something meaningful. At the hands of fate, through loss of loved ones, loss of money, and a severe motorcycle accident at the racetrack, all within a few weeks, I was at a point where I desperately needed to change everything about my life. Searching for any sign, I remembered a TV show I saw about a couple guys who started a Granola company in their apartment. I thought ‘how ridiculous’ but I had nothing else, so I decided to try and make some myself.
After having people try the first batch and smile, I felt a spark of a purpose, giving people something good for them that made them smile. I never thought something so simple would make me feel so worthwhile. And for that reason, everything made at Cocomo Joe is made with the highest level of integrity, and we never sacrifice quality and healthfulness for taste. If we can’t make it good for you and delicious, we don’t make it.
